Marin Christian Academy looks to the Bible as the primary source for determining it’s philosophy of education, goals, and mission. We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God. The philosophy, goals, and mission we derived from the Bible are God-honoring. Our philosophy is unique in the educational world, and our school stands apart because our philosophy is based on belief in Jesus Christ, who said,
I am the truth (John 14:6), and the Bible as the Word of God: Sanctify them through the truth; Thy word is truth (John 17:17).
With that scripture in mind, MCA is committed to providing a highly academic program with proven curriculum that will encourage the development of the whole child– spiritually, mentally, socially, physically and emotionally. Our strong academic program is Biblically based and uses a comprehensive curriculum, with an emphasis in fine arts and technology. Through the academic program, students are challenged to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, and to become caring citizens of society. Students develop critical thinking skills, study skills, and basic academic skills that are essential to their future success.
With our students’ future success in mind, our goals at Marin Christian Academy are to equip students:
-to become intrinsically motivated to perform and achieve
-to commit themselves to becoming lifelong learners
-to accept responsibility for their own actions
-to serve God and their fellow man with love and respect
Statement of Faith
Marin Christian Academy accepts the Holy Scriptures as the revealed will of God, and the all-sufficient rule for faith and practice. For the purpose of maintaining general unity, MCA adopts the following statement of fundamental truths:
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit
We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years.
We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the Rapture of the Church at Christ’s coming.
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ.
We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.
We believe that the filling by the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling enables the Christian to live a holy life.
We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost; the saved to everlasting life and the lost to everlasting damnation.
